Why Use Our Virtual Design Services?

Colorado Staging + Design + Media’s virtual design services allow you to have a professionally designed space mirroring the CSDM style. We create a custom plan tailored to your home and lifestyle needs; equipped with conceptual design boards, a product list of the selections made, and styling support for when it comes time to pull the whole look together.

How does it work?

With communication through email combined with an online design sharing platform, we gather the necessary information needed to create your customized design plan. After the initial information about your space is provided, we will send over a questionnaire to gather those last few details needed to begin creating our design. Thoughtful design is something we take pride in - we like to think about your home from all angles. As we source materials, furniture, and accessories for your home, your budget and lifestyle are kept in mind. After all information has been gathered, we begin sourcing and selecting materials, furniture, and accessories that can create a customized space for you. Our virtual design package includes the following: mood boards for each space, a color storyboard, fabric samples for key furnishing pieces, an item purchasing list, and design instructions for your implementation. The idea is that you can purchase the items all at once or at your leisure - whatever works best for you! All of this information is available to you to keep after we have received payment for our design services.

Step 1

Within 24 hours someone from our team will be in touch with the next steps. You will begin with filling out our Design Questionnaire so we can get to know you personally as well as get a better understanding of your specific needs. In the questionnaire, there will be a space to fill out the required information (room measurements, photos, link to Pinterest Board, etc.).

Step 2

Once we've discussed the scale of your project, we'll send an invoice to your email address. Once we receive payment and all of your required information, we will begin designing your space.

Step 3

Within 1 week, you will receive a combination of the following: mood boards for each space, a color storyboard, fabric samples of key furnishing pieces, an item purchasing list, and design instructions for your implementation. Once you have the completed virtual design process from CSD, you are in charge of how much or how little you do! You can purchase everything from your personalized product list or one item at a time, it is entirely up to you!

Frequently Asked Questions

Why should I do virtual design?

Once your Virtual Design Plan is complete, you are in control of when your spaces are completed. You can purchase items on your timeline buying everything at once, or slowly over time. Additionally, you can follow the Virtual Design Plan exactly or use it as inspiration for designing your rooms, supplementing with items that you already have, or buying other interesting pieces you’ve seen and loved. 

What size budgets do you work with?

All sizes! We can customize our Virtual Design Plans to meet all project needs and budgets. Additionally, if we’re designing a room for you, you provide your allotted budget and we create a Virtual Design Plan that works within your means. 

Will you come to my house and implement your design?

We offer installation and styling services to complete our Virtual Design Plan. Adding on the Installation package has a cost associated which is $125 per hour. However, with our virtual design, we provide you with a comprehensive plan including specific Design Instructions so that you can style your space just as the stylists at Colorado Staging & Design would! 

What is the turnaround time?

It takes us approximately 1 week to complete our Virtual Design Plan. If the scale of a project is larger than average, we will provide a customized timeline for you in our initial communication. All Virtual Design Plans will be shared through an online design sharing platform and can be emailed in a printable PDF form as well. 

What if I don’t like everything presented in my design plan?

We want you to LOVE your new design! So we will work with you to include one round of revisions until you sign off on the Virtual Design Plan. Please note that anything exceeding the normal initial round of edits will warrant additional design time, billing at an hourly rate of $125.

Can some of my existing furniture pieces be incorporated into the design?

Of course! Incorporating your own purchases and special finds is what adds personality to a home. At Colorado Staging & Design, we love finding previously loved pieces from thrift / antique stores. Mixing these elements together allows us to create our signature aesthetic. Although we may not always be able to directly source these secondhand items for you, we will provide the design direction and placement for those pieces in your home through our design plans. 

What happens if I wait to purchase an item and then it’s no longer available?

If an item we suggested in the Virtual Design Plan is discontinued or out of stock, leave a comment and we’d be happy to replace it with an item with a similar look and of similar quality. The world of manufactured goods is rapidly changing and merchandise is always retiring, so there are no guarantees that the item specified today will be available six months from now. 

Can I purchase a design service as a gift?
